The CYCT July Cruise is days away. Our destination is the beautiful Port of Brownsville. The dates are Saturday, July 1, 2 and 3.
The plan is to arrive on Saturday, July 1. We have eight reserved pull in slips on the inside of the east breakwater of the Brownsville Marina. The moorage fee is .85 per foot and $3.00 for power per day. Please contact us on VHF channel 68 or by cell phone (253-370-3176) upon arrival for your slip assignments.
Saturday evening, Eleven and anyone who would like to join us, will be boating to Bremerton to enjoy the first ever fireworks display launching off the Manette Bridge. It is being advertised as one of the best fireworks displays in Washington - second only to the fireworks display on the Space Needle.
Sunday begins with a light breakfast. You will not want to miss the Bad Captain And Crew Olympics on Sunday afternoon. There will be five events including the Blind Folded Dingy Race. We will crown the best Bad Captain And Crew before the day is done. Our dinner on Sunday will be a pot luck affair. The club is providing a spiral sliced ham and baked beans. Please bring something to share and the beverage of your choice.
Monday begins with a light breakfast. Check out time from the Brownsville Marina is noon. Departure from the marina will mark the official end of the CYCT July Cruise. However, Eleven will be heading to Poulsbo for the night. Please join us as this fun filled weekend continues. We will anchor in beautiful Liberty Bay. There will be time to explore town and enjoy the food and entertainment along the Poulsbo waterfront on Monday afternoon/evening followed by the the Third Of July Fireworks Show on Monday night.
Tuesday morning Eleven will point her bow south to Tacoma. The crew of Eleven will be heading home Tuesday evening (work beckons early Wednesday morning) but your fun could continue as you celebrate our nation's independence with fireworks at either Quartermaster Harbor or the Tacoma Freedom Fair.
Please take a moment to RSVP via the CYCT facebook page so that we can let the Brownsville Marina know how many boats to expect. We have eight slips reserved. At last count we had seven boats expressing an interest in attending the cruise. Please let us know if you are still planning to attend or if your plans have changed. Please forward this email to anyone you think might be interested in joining the fun. We still have an available slip at the marina so there is still room to join in the fun.
