Incredible conditions, I don’t think we could have had it any better. Wind 5 to 16 knots and sun once the haze and  clouds burned off. The turn out was thin for the Windseeker class but promising for the PHRF fleet. We have enough to split up the PHRF fleet into two classes, Heavy and Light.

The down side was the number of DSQ's, we had three, two boats Lucia and Obsession sailed the Point Beals mark to Port instead of Starboard as written in the Sailing Instructions and Dulcinea missed the Point Robinson mark on the return leg. Lessons to be learned.

I have to give a huge THANK YOU to Joe Salz for setting and retrieving the Point Beals Mark. Joe anchored his boat Rain Drop at Point Beals and stayed on station until the last boat rounded. This was done with some drama as the anchorage is not the best and Rain Drop drug her anchor a bit. Tough duty, the next beer is on me Joe.

This may have been the last year for the Point Beals Race as Point Beals Race maybe replaced by Three Tree Point for 2015. Stay tune for more on this. SARC (Seattle Area Racing Council) meeting is October 15th and it should be clear as to what the Calendar looks like for 2015 by then.

Next race is October 4th, Command Point. I've ordered more of the same weather. This race is a sail up Colvos to Command Point and return. Like a double dose of Colvos and Dalco all in one day. Eight hour time limit, 0955 first warning for PHRF boats 1000 warning for Windseekers. The start and finish is off the Browns Point Lighthouse. Read the sailing instructions in the CYCT race book.

Race results attached.
Hope to see you on the water,
Billy
